The Council is the overall planning and administrative body for the church. Its duties are described in The Book of Discipline of the UMC. Staff and lay positions to serve on the Council are also specified in The Discipline. The annual Charge Conference approves the members appointed to these positions. The Council must meet quarterly, but typically meets six times per year.
The Board of Trustees supervises and maintains all property belonging to the congregation so that the ministries of the congregation can be effective.
