A Growing Church for Growing Christians

Children

St. Luke's children’s ministry consists of activities for children from birth through fifth grade.

 Nurseries

Nurseries are provided for the 9:00 and 11:00 worship services. There is also a nursery during the Sunday school hour for infants and toddlers. Most churchwide activities and many of the special programs presented have childcare available.

The nursery (crib room and toddler room) are staffed with a trained, paid worker and volunteers.

Worship Services

Children are always welcome at worship services. During the 9:00 and 11:00 worship services, a children’s bulletin and worship packets are available at entrance into the sanctuary. A children’s sermon is given at 9:00 and 11:00 services at the front of the sanctuary. Children are invited to come and listen. Children are always welcome to take communion with their parents.

Children’s Church

Children’s Church is available for all Kindergarten students. Lessons and activities are planned to help transition children to staying in the worship service the entire time. Children leave for Children’s Church after the offering is taken.

Programs for Children

Vacation Bible School is held each summer with a new theme each year. It is designed to provide a fun week of learning and fellowship that encourages growth in children’s faith and relationship with God.

Kingdom Kids is on Wednesday nights (September-November and January-March). The children go to classes and learn more about the Bible. This is an opportunity for Christian education in addition to Sunday school.

Music—We have a Elementary Choir for 1st grade through 5th grade. This choir meets on Wednesday afternoon during the school months. They sing in worship services and have musicals.

We have Cherub Choir for 4 and 5 year olds. We meet Wednesday nights during the school months. They sing some during the worship services and at the musicals.

There is also Rainbow Ringers (4 and 5 year olds through 3rd grade). They play the bells in worship services and at the musicals. This group meets on Wednesday night during the school months.

We have a Birthday Party For Jesus and Easter Egg Hunt.
